Gaea or Gaia is Mother Earth. In Greek Mythology she was the Universal Mother and created the Universe.Gaea was born from Chaos, the great void of emptiness and gave birth to the Sea, the Sky and the Mountains.

Sonja de Sterke is the photographer of the Images on this website. She aims to find the Spirit in Nature and in the Landscape. To find and visualise the special energy that exists all around us and let it connect to the viewer. Her images are meant to celebrate, respect, admire and understand all that we find in Nature that support us and to become aware again of our connections and intuitions to the world around us.

Sonja grew up in the Netherlands and migrated to Australia in the early 90's In the early 80's she was fortunate to share the life of Bedouins in the Sinai for 1 1/2 years. During this time her intuition started developing. She was also fortunate to Attend Steiner School, this education supported quest on finding Connections between Spirit and Science and to enable her to look beyond the boundaries set by western society.

Developments in Quantum physics have really helped to confirm her beliefs in the interconnectedness of matter and spirit and the possibilities of a dialogue between each other.
